Status on our House

There has been alot of progress made on our home. My husband has been running ragged. I wish I knew more about remodeling so that I could help him. So,Here is what we have:

This is our bedroom currently.
Looks more like a storage unit

This is our living room.
Well it also looks like a storage unit.
This has also been Alan and my bedroom.
You never know how awesome having a bed is
until you have slept on the couch for almost 30 days.

Bathroom! The toilet and tub work.

Cassandra's room. This should be done this weekend.
This is Aubrey and Kaeli's room.

But right now it is bedroom for all three girls

Kitchen! Looks awesome
It will look even better when it is finished.
We will be custom building island/table and
finishing the tile work.

Look at my gorgeous 5 burner stove
That's right 5 burners

So that is where we are at. Thank you for all your prayers in every area. And also for your time. I know that we will get it done very soon.

Updates in the Life

Well, I wish that I could say that things got 100% better after that last blog but, that would be lying.
The following week while helping working on my house I got bit by a "fire ant". Within 3 days it had swelled up bigger then my knee.
I went to the hospital and they put me on some antibiotics. I just go that cleared up and THEN....
Thursday September 18 Kaeli, Aubrey, and I went to bible study. When I got out of the car it hurt a little bit. When I went to walk from the car it was very hard and it was very painful.
I eventually got downstairs and sat down. I called Alan and he was a little upset and said why didnt you drive home?
Eventually he came to get me and when he got there he knew it was a good thing that I did not drive home. We went straight home that night. It was a very rough night. It took me 45min. to get to the bathroom. I have to tell that it is very hilarious seeing a 30 year old women having a hard time getting up off the floor when your back hurts.
Anyways I went to the hospital on that friday. They did some x-rays. Saw the old compression fracture from when I was 15. Doctor said that it looks like that has moved causing it to press on one of my nerves.
So, as of today I am still in pain. Much better then it was but it still hurts.
I know that there are lots of my friends praying for me and I thank you so much for that.
God Bless you all

A very long stressful weekend

Wow! I have to say that I do not want to go through another weekend like that.

So, most of you know from readying our blog that we have been fixing our house because of a fire. Well Saturday there were about 7 guys at my house incuding my dad working with us.

At about 5:30pm almost all the guys decided that it was breaktime. So, since we have no bathroom at the house they piled in the van to go to the restroom and my mom went with them.

My dad had been working on the roof since about 10am that morning. He came down got something out of his Jeep and disappeared. I went into the house and was getting ready tostart working again.

My dad came into the house a few minutes later and said to me, "Mandy, I think you are going to have to take me to the hospital" Now for those of you that know my dad he is a jokster so I thought he was kidding. Until he said, "Or call me a ambulance or something"

Honestly, I was really scared.

We went outside and he started to burp. He told me to hold on he was burping and starting to feel a little better.

I told he, "Dad are you sure because if you need me to take you I need you atleast 30 min to get you there." See the closest hospital is about 20 miles away.

So,when my mom gets back to the house he was feeling it again so we got in the car and left.

I called Alan when I got on the road for him to please call 911 and tell them that I would be speeding. Within about 2 min Dispatch is calling me. She was very helpful thorought. I got to Brighton and I looked at my dad and his whole face is white and his lips were starting to turn white. He said that he was having a hard time breathing. I was even more scared. We are almost at 4th and Bromley which means that we have about 30-40 blocks to go. Right there is when my car died. I immediately started to cry I told the opereator that they needed tosend an ambulance now that my car had died.

I turned to my dad, and said, "I am sorry dad"

Within 3 minutes the ambulance was there. My dad walked into the ambulance. We pushed my car out of the way. We were there for a good half and hour with no moving. I called my best friend and told her what is going on. We prayed. I called my best friends husband and told him what was going on. Then I called the prayer line.

While I was on the prayer line my friends had circled up who they were with. We were all praying.

My mom was in the ambulance at the time and one of the paramedics said "Looks like your going again".

They got him stable and then went to the hospital. Now at this hospital they do not have a Cath Lab so he had to take a helicopter to Aurora South Hospital.

On the way to the helicopter the helicopter nurse told us that when they said that they were stopping him from having a massive heart attack.

So my dad gets to Aurora South and is immediately put into surgery and has 3 stents placed in his heart in 2 different veins.
That night as we were leaving for dinner he said to me, "Thank you Mandy for getting me to the hospital on time" I instantly started to cry and he put his had out and just squeezed my had.
He stayed for a couple days and then came home today.
I am telling you all this mussy stuff because my dad doesnt talk like that. The first time I ever heard him say I love you is when he had his first heart attack 4 years ago. So everything means so much for a girl from her daddy even at my age.

Oh , so I wanted to tell you that the reason my car died was because of a blown fuse. My husband fixed it and had it to me before my dad left in the helicopter and has been driving ever since.
The reason I told my dad I was sorry was because I thought I had failed him. My one chance to make him proud and I failed.
But God had another plan. I heard him that day tell me that he was going to take care of me .

So, please know that GOD in Heaven has EVERYTHING under control.

God Bless!!

PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL CHILDREN

I experienced something yesterday that I pray I will never have to experience again.
I was at my local library yesterday printing some papers.
An announcement came over the intercom at approximately 9:58 am that the school was going under lockdown. Well, since the library is attached to the school that included us.
I sat in a room for approximately 3 hours during a lockdown.
It was very scary. Especially not knowing what was going on.
At 12:58pm an announcement came over the PA system saying that they had found a jammed gun and ammunition in the bathroom. At that time they put the school on lockdown. Police from 4 counties arrived immediately and searched all lockers and questioned some students.
Now I am not sure if they found the owner of the gun.
So I write this to you all so that you will pray not only for your own kids but for all kids out there.
We didnt have to go through this when I was a kids. I pray that none of us will have to go through that again.
Talk to your kids, get to know them, love them, and encourage them to love others. That is what we are called to do.
Amen
God Bless

Summer break is finally over

Ok so it is finally time to go back to school. Let me tell you after the summer of trials I am glad summer vacation is over.
The beginning of June the 9th to be exact my daughter lost her best friend in a car accident. You can see the 2 of them in one of my old posts.
Then we had the fire and are now still trying to get our house done and its already time for school.
But even through all this we know that God is good.
Our children are are growing in their faith. And honestly so are Alan and I. They have all gone to Camp ID-RA-HA-JE and learned alot about their faith in Jesus.Including Cassandra, THANK YOU JESUS!! They are all starting to evangelize to their friends and other family members. Thank you Jesus!!
So just remember even through the tough times God is their and faithfully answering prayers and doing miracles as well. God has a easier time molding us when we allow him to.
The best thing about being in Christ is knowing the outcome. We are more then Conquers!!!
